Muscles and money
- Brötchen-und-Borussia
The bodies of professional footballers - whether healthy, injured or in rehabilitation - are hardly comparable to those of "normal" patients. Extreme physical strain, a lack of regeneration time and high psychological pressure from publicity and competition characterize everyday life in professional sport. At the same time, medical requirements and reality are often at odds: there is often not enough time for a complete recovery. In this situation, professionals often resort to alternative treatment methods. The lecture sheds light on this area of conflict on a scientific basis and with the experience of twenty years of professional soccer.
Students can earn a student diploma by attending the event and completing a quiz on the content of the event in the lecture hall. The student diploma is credited as part of the first semester's coursework when studying physics or medical physics at TU Dortmund University.
