Come2Campus 2026
Once again this year, TU Dortmund is organizing a central welcome program: Come2Campus, 06.-07.10.2026.
Come2Campus is a multi-day orientation program for international students who are about to start their studies at TU Dortmund University. It takes place annually at the beginning of each winter semester. During Come2Campus, students receive important information on different study-related topics and get to know other international and German students.

How-to digital tools
A hands-on introduction to the digital tools you’ll use throughout your studies, such as Moodle, LSF, the TU Dortmund App, and BOSS, so you’ll feel well-prepared from day one.

The Course Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics in english language is offered ar Ruhr-Universität Bochum. More detailed information can be found in their course catalog.

If you would like to attend this lecture, you must fill out this German form and send it to the lecturer (an English translation is provided here for your information). After the exam the form will be returned to you and you should forward it to the Physics Examination Office at TU Dortmund
Late arrival in Dortmund
For most courses of the Master of Medical Physics and Physics of Living Systems there is no registration at the beginning of the semester (with the exception of Lab courses and exercises), but only at the end of the semester for the examinations. Therefore, you can also start late in the semester, but it is of course clear that the later you start, the less likely you will pass the exam in a satisfactory way.
If you need a Late Arrival Letter, please contact the office of the Dean of Studies.

Course Practical Aspects of Instrumentation
In Winterterm 2025/26 the course "Practical Aspects of Instrumentation" will be taught by Prof. Marco Petasecca,
Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, School of Physics, Wollongong, Australia and Ulrich BonseVisiting Chair for Instrumentation (Winter term 2025/2026). The title of the course is "Radiation Detection Instrumentation for Medical Physics".
