Final theses abroad
Would you like to write your thesis abroad or conduct research abroad as part of your Master's thesis?
Stays abroad related to thesis projects can, for example, be funded through Erasmus+ internships (within Europe) or by the Martin Schmeißer Foundation. The recognition of these stays, especially in the case of Erasmus+ internships, is arranged on an individual basis. Please contact the Internationalization Officer or the Erasmus Coordinator for further information.
To establish contacts abroad, it is highly recommended to get in touch with the research groups in Dortmund.
Please note: If you plan to write your thesis entirely abroad, you will still need a primary supervisor from Dortmund. Furthermore, it must be clarified whether the supervisor abroad meets the requirements to act as a second reviewer.

![3D visualisation of human neuronal tissue reconstructed by multi-scale X-ray phase contrast tomography. Neuronal cell nuclei are shown in yellow for the granule neurons in the dentate gyrus region of the hippocampus. Blood vessels are shown in red. By changing the X-ray optical magnification in the multi-scale recordings, one can zoom into regions-of-interest (red ovals). In these scans the resolution is high enough to resolve sub-structures of the nucleus, associated with different DNA packing regimes.
