Careers in Physics
The seminar "Careers in Physics" is intended to give students at TU Dortmund University an insight into possible jobs and career paths beyond the university. For this purpose, we invite physicists who work in companies to present their workplace and in particular their everyday working life in an approx. 45-minute lecture. In order to be able to tie in particularly well with the physics here on site, many of the speakers are also graduates of the Faculty of Physics. After the lecture, there will be the opportunity to exchange ideas with the speakers over a snack and to ask questions.
All students of the department, especially Master students, and of course all PhD students are welcome to attend the seminar.
The seminar "Careers in Physics" takes place on Mondays at 17:15 in the AV room (P2-E0-414).

![3D visualisation of human neuronal tissue reconstructed by multi-scale X-ray phase contrast tomography. Neuronal cell nuclei are shown in yellow for the granule neurons in the dentate gyrus region of the hippocampus. Blood vessels are shown in red. By changing the X-ray optical magnification in the multi-scale recordings, one can zoom into regions-of-interest (red ovals). In these scans the resolution is high enough to resolve sub-structures of the nucleus, associated with different DNA packing regimes.
