"My research focusses on the top quark and its properties. The top quark is the heaviest known elementary particle and therefore has very special properties that we want to investigate. We measure the mass of the top quark, its coupling to the Higgs boson, its couplings to other bosons and also its spin properties. The top quark decays before it can enter a bound state. This makes it the only quark that can be studied directly without losing information through other effects. We produce top quarks at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva, and study its decays with the ATLAS detector, one of the largest detectors in high-energy physics. Since July 2022, I have been leading the top quark research group at the ATLAS experiment."
