"Deutschlandstipendien"
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) launched the Deutschlandstipendien program in 2011 to promote young talent. Sponsors from industry, business and the private sector contribute to the funding of scholarships, which support students with 300 euros per month for one year. The application for such a scholarship is open to all students, the application process runs via a central application portal. The scholarships are awarded annually on 1 October; the application deadlines are announced in good time. The scholarship holders are given the opportunity to exchange ideas with sponsors and other scholarship holders at the "Stifter treffen Stipendiaten" event (usually shortly before Christmas). Further information is available on the TU Dortmund University website.

![3D visualisation of human neuronal tissue reconstructed by multi-scale X-ray phase contrast tomography. Neuronal cell nuclei are shown in yellow for the granule neurons in the dentate gyrus region of the hippocampus. Blood vessels are shown in red. By changing the X-ray optical magnification in the multi-scale recordings, one can zoom into regions-of-interest (red ovals). In these scans the resolution is high enough to resolve sub-structures of the nucleus, associated with different DNA packing regimes.
