"In our research, we explore and develop accelerator structures used in accelerators worldwide to improve their capabilities and performance. In particular, we specialize in the development of superconducting cavities and SRF technology towards their use in high current and continuous wave (CW) applications. These types of systems represent a cornerstone in the realization of a new generation of powerful and flexible particle accelerators. As part of this research, we are leading the VSR demo project at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB) with the goal of developing and commissioning a full cryomodule with 2 x 1.5GHz CW SRF cavities, whose extreme high-order modal attenuation (HOM) would open the door to flexible pulse length manipulations and maximum brilliance in light sources."
