MinTU and Girl's Day are annual events organised by the Department of Physics for female students. The workshop days are organised by the Equal Opportunities Department.
On Girl's Day, the participating girls visited three stations in the Department of Physics and received information about the Physics and Medical Physics degree courses.

On April 25, 16 girls visited the Department of Physics to find out about the physics and medical physics degree programs and immerse themselves in the everyday working life of female physicists at the university in small workshops. After a brief welcome by Ms. Landmann, the girls were divided into two groups and the workshops began. In the workshop with Ms. Thews and Ms. Landmann, they were able to discover how much physics there is in medicine and design and evaluate their own radiation plans. In Theoretical Physics with Ms. Nollen, the girls were able to see the workplace and working methods of a theoretical physicist and gain insights into theoretical particle physics. In the practical course with Ms. Siegmann and Ms. Fißmer, things got even more interactive and the students were able to carry out their own small ultrasound experiments.
