The colloquium will exceptionally be held in German.
Program:
1) Honoring the EPS Emmy Noether Award winner Doris Reiter
2) Presentation of the Teaching Award 2025 of the Faculty of Physics
3) Colloquium lecture by Prof. Metin Tolan
Title: "Shaken, not stirred! - James Bond in the sights of physics"
Abstract: In the lecture, facts about James Bond, probably the most famous secret agent in the world, will be presented and scenes from the films will be analyzed physically using short video clips. At the end of the lecture, it will be explained with a wink why the top agent always takes his vodka martini shaken and never stirred. Even a preview of the next Bond film is ventured.
Afterwards there is an end-of-semester barbecue.
