Internships
Would you like to gain practical experience in research? The Department of Physics offers international students a wide range of opportunities for research internships. Our research groups are happy to welcome interested and committed students.
Internships are usually arranged individually with the respective research groups - depending on capacity and your area of interest. You can find an overview of programs, support options and funding opportunities on the website of the International Office.

Erasmus+
Students from EU member states and certain partner countries can receive financial support for a research internship at TU Dortmund University via the Erasmus+ program. The prerequisite is that the internship is recognized as part of your studies. Further information is available from the Erasmus coordinator at your home university and on the Erasmus+ page of the International Office.
BRIDGE
BRIDGE NRW (Boston-Ruhr Initiative for Undergraduate and Graduate Student Exchange) supports research internships for international students in the fields of physics, medical physics, biomedicine and related disciplines. The program links universities from North Rhine-Westphalia - including TU Dortmund University - with excellent institutions in the Boston area (e.g. MIT, Harvard, Boston University).
Funding is provided for research internships of 60 to 90 days with a monthly stipend, travel expenses and insurance. Projects take place in areas such as biomedical physics and artificial intelligence in medicine.
