"My group focuses on coherent optical control of spin states in semiconductor nanostructures, spin-based quantum information processing, and non-perturbative spectroscopy techniques. Our expertise ranges from spectroscopy of single-spin coherence to spectroscopic properties of macroscopic ensembles under the action of continuous-wave as well as pulsed lasers. We are interested in extending the coherence of quantum states of solid-state quantum bits, and providing long-range spin-spin entanglement using intrinsic coupling to photons. In doing so, we are investigating the electron and hole spin states of self-assembled nanostructures and defect centers in various semiconductors and dielectric materials."
![Band structure of 2D semimetal based on HgTe quantum well. Experimental points are obtained from the analysis of the cyclotron resonance in the quasi-classical approximation. Solid lines are predictions of the kp theory with no free parameters. Splitting of the conduction (e1,2) and valence (h1) band is due to the quantum confinement. [J.
