Welcome event in the department
Join us for the welcome event at the Department of Physics, where you’ll receive an introduction to the department and learn everything you need to know to get started in your degree program.
When? Monday, October 12, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Where?
- Physics: AV Room (next to the foyer and the Dean’s Office)
- MMPPLS: P1-02-110
Program:
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: You’ll meet professors, academic advisors, and staff members who will introduce you to the program, explain important administrative procedures, and answer your questions.
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Group lunch in the mensa.
Starting at 2:00 PM: A hands-on introduction to the digital tools you’ll use throughout your studies, such as Moodle, LSF, the TU Dortmund App, and BOSS, so you’ll feel well-prepared from day one.
In case of emergency
Whether it’s an emergency or a difficult situation where you’re not sure who to contact, you don’t have to figure it out on your own. TU Dortmund provides information, guidance and support to help you find the right place to turn.
