Dr. Alina Landmann takes over as head of the physics practical course

Dr. Alina Landmann is gradually taking over the management of the physics practical course at the TU Dortmund University's Department of Physics. From this semester onwards, she will be working together with Dr. Bärbel Siegmann, who has been solely responsible for the practical course up to now. At the end of the winter semester 2025/26, Alina Landmann will take over the management completely.
Dr. Alina Landmann has been associated with TU Dortmund University for many years. She wrote her Bachelor's and Master's thesis in the Kröninger working group. She completed her doctorate in the field of detector physics, focusing on the development of a neutron detector prototype for use in research reactors.
In addition to her scientific work, she has been Equal Opportunities Officer at the Department of Physics since 2022. In this role, she has initiated the introduction of a mobile children's room and an anti-discrimination course for the Graduate School.
We would like to thank Dr. Bärbel Siegmann for her many years of commitment and wish Dr. Alina Landmann a successful start in her new role.
