Research data management
Research data management (RDM) has become an essential part of today's scientific practice, ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and long-term availability of research results. In this colloquium, Olaf Kletke will provide an overview of the principles and practical aspects of RDM, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities specific to the research conducted at TU Dortmund. Topics include data organization, documentation, storage, and sharing, as well as the role of institutional infrastructure and community standards. The talk will also highlight best practices that support efficient workflows and compliance with funding requirements.
![Band structure of 2D semimetal based on HgTe quantum well. Experimental points are obtained from the analysis of the cyclotron resonance in the quasi-classical approximation. Solid lines are predictions of the kp theory with no free parameters. Splitting of the conduction (e1,2) and valence (h1) band is due to the quantum confinement. [J.
