Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Dissertation Prize of the Department of Physics

Every year since 2019, the Department of Physics has awarded the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Dissertation Prize to an outstanding dissertation. The selected doctoral theses have each been graded "with distinction" and make a significant scientific contribution to their respective field. The award comes with prize money of 4,000 euros, which is financed by the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation.
The Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Dissertation Prize for the year 2024 will be awarded to Dr. Leonora Kardum. Dr. Kardum wrote her dissertation in the field of astroparticle physics under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. Rhode. The topic of her thesis is "Unfolding the muon neutrino flux".
