Die Physik des Stoffwechsels – Sauerstoff, Nahrung und Spaß im Sport
- Brötchen-und-Borussia

Metabolism requires food and oxygen to generate physical performance in sports. How this happens is examined in this lecture from the bio-physical side.
One can see how well humans are adapted to endurance sports. Modern medical technology can be used to observe changes in the body in detail.
A little knowledge about the background helps to understand how an athletic training should be designed, which is then not only enormously healthy, but - which is also to be conveyed here - also really fun.
Accompanying the lecture, live experiments will be shown, which of course can be followed particularly well when participating in the lecture hall.
![Band structure of 2D semimetal based on HgTe quantum well. Experimental points are obtained from the analysis of the cyclotron resonance in the quasi-classical approximation. Solid lines are predictions of the kp theory with no free parameters. Splitting of the conduction (e1,2) and valence (h1) band is due to the quantum confinement. [J.
