The Faculty of Physics will offer a Physics Helpdesk for the first time from the winter semester 2021/22. This is aimed at all students of physics and medical physics and is intended to serve as a first point of contact for questions on physics topics in the lectures of the first four semesters. The helpdesk will be clearly visible in the foyer of the physics building and will be staffed daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. starting in the second week of lectures.

The physics helpdesk flanks the faculty's measures to support students of physics and medical physics in their first semesters. In addition to a mathematical self-test, a refresher course and a physics pre-course, the physics faculty, in collaboration with the physics student council, offers tutorials for the basic lectures. A study counselling service provides additional support for individual study-related questions.
